Rob is Back To Work!!

NO PHOTOS...BUT...Rob is back to work.
After more than a month off of work, the doctor finally released Rob to go back to work today. The good news is we will finally get some money! The bad news is no more "Mr. Mom!".

Nicole and Dad Date

While Debbie and Amanda were away this past week, Nicole and I took a drive up the gorge to look at the beautiful scenery. The falls was absolutely gorgeous. I surprised Nicole and picked her up from school and we drove up the gorge. It was a beautiful brisk day! We had a great time together.

The Latest...

  1. NO - Rob is NOT back to work. The doctor is now allowing him to lift 30 lbs and do a little more around the house. He even let him take the Christmas lights down! Rob gets rechecked again on Friday. Possibly he will be released to go back to work next Monday. You will have to check back and see! :-)
  2. NO - We have NOT heard anything on the twins. Update as of today is nothing new has been done since December 13th. Yes...extremely frustrating!
  3. YES - We are continuing the persuit of other boys to adopt. Last week we sent our homestudy out to 3 different caseworkers. We are being considered for another boy who was in our first list of kids, we got a call today that we have paperwork to pick up on him...so we will see.

That is the latest from the Harding Family!

Peaches!

Peaches is a Cocker Spaniel that my parents adopted this last week. She is 4 years old and about 21 lbs. She is full of energy and a lot of fun to play with. The girls just love her! They love to play with her, take her for walks and play chase. She is going to be a great addition to the family.

SLOWLY...BUT SURELY!!!

Rob is slowly on the mend!
We went to the doctor today and he changed his antibiotics again, cleaned the wound, and told him to start using the arm. In fact, he said the best thing to do is dishes, laundry and vacuuming with the left arm. He said he needs to be off work for at least another week to week and a half. Looks like I have a live in maid! I have always dreamed of such a thing!

Boxes, Hammers, Screws & Nails...Oh My!

We decided an empty room was driving us even more crazy waiting for a boy or boys...so, for Christmas I received bunks and a new dresser. Levitz is going out of business and had a great deal on the bunks, and you can never go wrong with an IKEA dresser. Thanks dad & mom. Rob and Nicole started the process of putting together the bunks before he got sick, and then the girls and I finished the process. Saturday, Rob supervised as Papa and the girls put the dresser together. As you can see, the cats were enjoying the room too! We have had to close the door to the room to keep them out...they think it is all for them.

Marina & More!

Kelli's good friends Dan & Ann & their adorable twins

Aunt Kelli with her favorite two girls...
or is that Nicole and Amanda with their favorite person!
Marina and her parents sent this beautiful basket of flowers to us
for Christmas. We also enjoyed an hour long conversation on the phone
with Marina. We love you Marina!!!

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day!

Here are a few of my favorite photos of the girls opening gifts on Christmas! Amanda loved her new coat, Rocket Dog boots, camera, & Nintendo DS. Nicole loved her dance bag, tiki Goofy and her Laptop! YES...SHE IS SPOILED ROTTEN BY HER GRANDPARENTS! But probably my all time favorite photo of Nicole is the bottom middle picture. We searched the world over to find her a pair of footie PJ's like the ones she had when she was a small girl. She absolutely loves them!

It Can Only Get Better Than This...Right?

Goodbye 2007...Happy New 2008? We hope so!
Rob has been in and out of the hospital since Friday the 28th of December with a Staff infection. 4 different antibiotics...an abscess lanced...drained...stuffed with guaze...drained...stuffed...
anti-biotic IV's...shots in the back side...nausea...vomitting...swollen...feeverish...huge left arm/elbow...beautiful outfits...outrageous hair dos...and the list goes on. All this from a tiny "owie" he got a couple of weeks ago on his elbow...and doesn't even remember how or why!
Here he is too drugged to tell that he doesn't even have his arm in the right hole of the "nightie"!
Rob and "punk Jack" on New Year's Eve. (Amanda made his glove-balloon friend.)
Rob on New Year's Day with his "Hairspray" hair do! We think he is a shoe in for the sequel. (The flowers in the background are from his 3 favorite girls!)

Seriously, we hope he is on the road to recovery. He has a couple of doctors coming to see him tomorrow and he is hoping that they give him the boot out of the Hospital. Tomorrow will be the third day! And what makes it worse...he is on vacation this week from UPS! What a bummer! We love you honey and miss you around here...hurry home!
