ATTACKED!

Sorry, no photos! We must keep this blog "G" rated! But, Rob was bitten by a dog, delivering for UPS. You guessed it, the dog took a chunk out of Rob's backside, dare we say butt! Yes, what could have been the perfect evening (kids were at Grandma's, reservations were made for Henry's downtown), ended up being an evening stuck at the Urgent Care. After appropriate medical care, a couple shots and a prescription we left to grab a quick bite, so we could head to Walgreens to finish our "DATE!" Who would have guessed that one can spend an hour at Walgreens on a Friday night. You drop off your prescription at the counter and then you look down every isle to find out what you can entertain yourself with while you wait. We read some magazines, played with the Valentine singing animals, checked hair products and bought some chap stick and a dental flosser. Wo-hoo! Then at 11:30pm when they called our name, we ran to the counter, picked up our prescription, and drove home to go to bed! Wasn't this a beautiful, romantic evening??

Here is Amanda...she is having sooo much fun!
Nicole sleds as her friends watch!
Even Rob had to do some sledding!! Don't you love what Brown can do for you!
Starting from the front of the sled this is Elizabeth, Amanda, Nicole, Ariel, and Mallory in the way back! Sorry to say, Rob had to go back to work and the sledding ended!

Saturday Project Accomplished!

So...we have these awful ugly, dirt, disgusting kitchen chairs at our breakfast nook. (And this is one of the better ones!)

So, I convince Rob to help me recover the 4 chairs to the dinnette that are filthy, and the 2 bar chairs too, so that everything matches!
Here is one of our completed chairs. Much more pretty, huh?

Here, Nicole has to try it out and make sure it still works. We all have a bet going to see who will be the first one to spill on the chairs and how long it will take!

A completed project! More to come....

January 11, 2007 Snow Day

Amanda and Elizabeth having a snowball fight in the front yard.

Amanda and her best friend, Elizabeth, making snow angels in the snow and then posing for a photo!

Nicole and her snowman!! (Posing inside, 'cause mom wouldn't go out to take the photo!)

Nicole's cat, Tarzan, wouldn't go out either...so he posed with the snowman inside too!

This is the picture I first saw of the snowman...I thought it was much larger than it actually was. This just goes to show you, pictures can be deceiving!

The girls couldn't believe that UPS and Americana Properties actually wanted their parents to come to work today! When you are a kid...everyone should get to stay home! Right!!!

GOOFY!!

Nicole's good friend Christine resently returned from a trip to Disneyland. They were having breakfast at "Goofy's Kitchen" and she ran into Nicole's Best Friend! Christine brought back this...

A photo of Goofy writing a letter to Nicole!

And here is the letter Goofy wrote to Nicole.

Thanks Christine! Nicole loved this huge surprise!

Nicole's Job Shadow Experience

Nicole had an assignment for school to job shadow someone who was in a profession she was interested in. The only criteria for the assignment was that it had to be someone not employed by the Reynolds School District and it could not be a family member or relative. Nicole called and asked her pediatrician, Dr. John Calcagno, if she could job shadow him. Believe it or not, last week, Nicole got to spend an entire morning following her pediatrician around while he doctored his patients. Needless to say, she had a BLAST!! For those of you who have known us long enough, you know how much we love Dr. John. He was the doctor who literally saved Amanda's life as an infant! Not to mention the sanity of Debbie! He did specialize in infants with childhood diseases, but now half of his patients suffer from A.D.D.

He told Nicole that he wanted to send home a vile of bacteria to put under Amanda's pillow so she could come see him. He is missing her weekly visits...and says his practice isn't the same with out her!

Nicole had such a good time, she is even more convinced that she wants to be a Peds Doctor. Only time will tell!

Thanks so much Dr. John!

Happy New Year 2007!

The Harding's toasted each other at 9pm when the ball dropped in New York, and wished each other a Happy New Year! Before we knew it...we heard a strange sound coming from upstairs! We three girls rose to see what was the matter...and this is what we found!

Needless to say...we three girls partied on until after midnight. At which time we got out our cow bell and made sure Rob heard us celebrating. We had a great time watching movies, snacking and watching the neighborhood fireworks.

Here we are toasting each other!

The Harding family wishes you all a very Happy New Year and may God bless you this year!
