Conversation on the way to Sauvie Island...
Amanda,"When I grow up I am going to own a yacht!"
Nicole, "When I grow up, I am going to own a boat!"
Rob, "I'd just like to have a jet ski!"
This tells you something about my family doesn't it!

Peach Picking on a HOT day!
Probably one of the hottest days of the summer is not the most ideal day to go to the farms to pick peaches...but of course...there are only so many days when we can all go together. We went to the Sauvie Island farms and picked 40lbs of peaches yesterday. We all decided we were really glad that we didn't grow up on a farm...because we thought that we were going to die in the heat. But the peaches were delicious...and so was the great pie my mom made with them! Luiza had never heard of doing such a thing and didn't think she liked peaches...until she tried a tree ripened one! Nothing better in my opinion.
Camping with the Torgerson's
August 8th through August 10th, we went camping with the Torgerson family. We stayed at Nehalem Bay State Park from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. When we got to the park Friday, it was raining. We set up the Torgerson tent and we set up our trailer, hoping it would stop raining soon. We woke up Saturday to more rain and decided to head to Tillamook.
After breakfast we packed up and were ready to go.. We left at one o'clock. We went into Cannon Beach and had some lunch and looked through shops on our way home.We had a great weekend with the Torgerson family and can' wait to do it again.
Even Arnie the dog had a great time!

Happy 16th Nancy!
Nicole's best friend, Nancy, turned 16 on Sunday and Nicole and I made her a quilt. This is Nicole's first attempt at this and she did awesome. (We had a little help from Becky too!...Thanks Becky!) Nancy couldn't believe that Nicole made it. Nancy got her driver's license on Monday too...so now both girls are mobile!!! Happy Birthday Nancy!

Seattle...Weddings...KOA Camping!
First you have to have a little background to understand why these photos are so funny! We were too cheap to rent a motel for $120 plus a night when we could pull our trailer and sleep in it for $40 a night...and since we would have already had to take the Yukon to fit everyone in, it only made sense at the time to use the trailer to save on lodging and food. BUT, you should have seen the look on our neighbors faces at the KOA when we came out dressed to go to a wedding. We thought we looked so funny we stopped to take photos. Rob only wished we had candles & a bouquet of flowers to put on our picnic table outside. Nicole called us "Beautiful Trailer Trash!"
Melanie and Josh's wedding was beautiful and it was a perfect day in Seattle! I had to take a picture of the KOA flag to prove where we were!
