Do you Recognize Nicole???
Nicole has wanted to cut her hair and donate it to "Locks of Love" for years. She finally had over ten inches to cut off. Joyce has cut Nicole's hair since Nicole was about 2 years old. Joyce couldn't believe Nicole was doing this either. This is the shortest Nicole has EVER had her hair!!! The best reaction was that of my parents...especially grandma...she cried! April's reaction was when we saw her today in Costco! If you don't know Nicole well enough...her long hair is who she is! But, we kinda like the new her! Although, Cloee wasn't too impressed!

Grand Mound Washington!
As the brochure said...It's huge! It's wet! It's wild! 78,000 sf indoor water park!
We surprised the girls and left Thursday for an overnight stay at this new place. We had a blast!
This is a 4 story interactive tree house with a 1,000 gallon tipping bucket. We also enjoyed 4 slides, and the gigantic wave pool. (There is a great kiddo pool too for those of you with wee ones.) There is also a hot tub, play pool with floating animals, water polo, and more.
This is the Howlin' Tornado Adventure Ride! What a rush. 4 people ride in a raft and intertwine their feet and are then spun down a dark tunnel at a fast past to then drop several stories into a "funnel" where you are spun from side to side until you go out the funnel down the tube and into the pool. I repeat...what a rush!
We had a fabulous time together as a family...but we are a bit tired and sore from all that playing!

Congratulations Nicole!!!
"The Oregon Ambassadors of Music is pleased to announce that Nicole Harding has been recommended by her music teacher to participate in the music tour of Europe for 2009. Oregon Ambassadors of Music is an honor band and choir comprised of some of Oregon's finest music students under the leadership of several of the state's most respected music educators. Your nomination was based on character and musicianship...."
We are so proud of Nicole's accomplishments on the flute. She will be visiting 7 countries in 16 days in July of 2009, some of which are...England, France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and Germany. (We are a bit jealous!)
Now...she just has to get to work and earn the big bucks! Congratulations, Nicole!

High School Musical on Tour!
Thursday, May 29th, we surprised the girls with tickets to the High School Musical at the Keller Auditorium in downtown. They had no idea what we were seeing or doing until we got there. My dad took us to the MAX and we rode it to downtown and Rob picked us up, so we could go to the musical together. They were both so excited when they found out what we were seeing and we had great seats. (2nd row on an aisle in the 1st balcony!) We had quite an enjoyable, fun evening together as a family. Although, believe it or not, Rob says he has never seen the movie! I don't know how that can be...I've seen it at least a 100 times! We even stayed and let the girls get autographs afterwards. What fun!
Happy Birthday Mom and Grandma!
May 30th was my Mom's birthday...but we didn't get a chance to celebrate until last evening. We had her favorite dinner of meatloaf, baked potatoes, broccoli and fruit salad and delicious berry crisp for dessert. Happy Birthday Mom/Grandma! We love you.
Heritage Music Festival in CA
Rob and Nicole along with 150 others from the school band attended the Heritage Band Festival from May 23-28 in Anaheim CA. After all the competing and awards, they played at Disneyland, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm and went to the Medieval Times for dinner. They made the school proud with all the awards they won and had a great trip together.
