Grandpa Gordie Get Volunteer of the Year!

Grandpa...as he is known to most kids at Walt Morey Middle School...has volunteered in the girls classes since they were in grade school. This year, Walt Morey and Amanda's six grade class got the privilege of awarding Grandpa Gordon the "2007 Volunteer of the Year" award! He was presented a plaque by the class & school principal and photos were taken. Amanda was very proud. Grandpa has put in over 200 hours alone this year at Walt Morey!

Thanks Grandpa Gordon! We Love You!!!

Kauai...Part 2!

Swinging bridge in Old Hanapepe

The end of Hwy 560 west...it ends into the beach...
no signs...just ends.

The one lane road to Ke'e Beach goes through streams and rivers...

and too many to count one lane bridges, where you wait your turn to go!

Debbie was saying, "This is a Hwy?"

It was a beautiful LONG HOT drive...did I mention LONG???

This is a sugar plantation that is still working that we got to tour and eat lunch at...here Rob is feeding the goats and pigs guava and bread. I actually did this too!

These are Hawaiian Pine trees. The are uniquely beautiful.

And don't forget the wild chickens and roosters everywhere.

The "Fantasy Island" Falls, better known as Wailua Falls off the eastern shore.

Here is Rob with his coconuts! Drinking fresh coconut milk!

That's it for now. Sunday we are off to Honolulu, where we celebrated our Honeymoon. Rob and I have a running bet going to see if the place we stayed in is still standing! We'll have to let you know who wins.

Aloha from Kauai!

Kauai...Need We Say More!!!

Celebrating 20yrs of marriage on the 26th of June!

Roger, my boss, was gracious enough to give us the gift
of his time share in Kauai for a week! We are loving it!

Waimea Canyon...the Grand Canyon of the Pacific!

Spouting Horn

Kilauea Lighthouse
Wainiha Beach...secluded and beautiful north shore.

Puff the Magic Dragon...Land of Hanalei!
We have traveled the island from one side to another and top to bottom...more photos to come.

7 YEARS SAFE DRIVING FOR UPS!!

We are so proud of you honey! Good Job Rob!
After years of many accidents...I am proud to make this post! This is quite an accomplishment, especially since an "accident" with UPS is pretty much anything bigger than a scratch on the big brown truck or a scratch on anyone elses property!
NOTE: The funny part of this story is...Last night on Rob's way home from work, he got rear ended in the Honda! (Personal accidents don't count, thank goodness!) It gets better! This was after having received the safe driving award presented by his supervisor at the morning meeting. Then who would witness the accident...not only a police man, but one of his supervisors from UPS on his way home from work! Ironic huh? Rob is fine by the way...and the Honda can be repaired.

Amanda's in CONCERT Band!

Amanda played the snare and timpani drums last night. Rob and I both just made it to see her play, and then we had to leave for youth group. She did awesome!

Amanda and her band teacher, Danny Hunt.

Not only was Amanda awarded Most Inspirational Musician for the 6th grade band, she was also chosen as the only percussionist to join concert band next year! Way to go Amanda! We are so proud of you!
