Amanda's 12th Birthday...Part 2

Saturday night, March 17th, we celebrated Amanda's birthday with Bah & Papa, Gramma & Aunt Kate & Jason, Aunt Sharon, Aunt Kelli, Uncle Alan & Aunt Lisa, Laura & Pammie.
We enjoyed dinner, cake & ice cream together.

A cowgirl with a Cinderella hand bag?

Okay...we got the girls the same things and wanted them to be able to use them next month when we go to Disneyland. If we waited to give Nicole hers on her birthday in May, she wouldn't have been able to use them. So, they openned them together!

SUITCASES...and ones with Mickey on them!

Two cakes...six candles each...a cowboy boot and a horse pasture!

And two little cousins, Laura & Pammie, to help lick off the candles. What a fun night we had!

All Cowgirl Party!!

It was a cowgirl party extravaganza! Here Amanda poses with her 4 friends! It was a beautiful day, so we got to do a lot of our activities outside.

We had a tin can and bottle shot out...with water guns!

We had a sunflower seed spit out! And not pictured, we played horseshoes, played lots of fun games with peanuts and listened to a lot of country music and did some line dancing.

Of course we had cupcakes! And sang Happy Birthday to Amanda!

Amanda may be a cowgirl...but she will always be a Princess first!

Amanda's good friend Anna found her not only a giraffe bag...but in orange yet!

Happy 12th Birthday Cowgirl!

Amanda thinks David Harsh Rocks!

Amanda just returned from a weekend at Lakeside Bible Camp in Washington. She had an absolutely awesome weekend. She can hardly wait to go back for a whole week sometime this summer. She is starting to save already! Anyways, one of her favorite parts of the weekend was the special music guy, David Harsh. We attached a link (just click on the blog title) so you can go to his website. Amanda thinks that you should watch his video clips. Her favorites are WARRIORS OF PRAYER, SAMPLE OF ITALIAN OPERA, & FOUR LIMBS where he plays two guitars at the same time! She loves all of his songs!!!

Puzzle Addiction!

OKAY...Nicole and I love puzzles...and we even got Rob into the action this weekend. Nicole and I finished these two puzzles (with Rob's help) in 3 days. 2 - 500 piece puzzles. We don't dare start another one less we won't get a thing done! Here are the two we did!

Jokes!

Ok...so the Harding's are a little bit board!!! Nicole is knee deep in homework and Amanda is at camp, so we have been telling jokes to keep Nicole from crying...having a melt down...any of the above. So...here are our favorites of the day!

There was a Delta flight attendant and a Pastor. The flight attendant died and two days later the Pastor died. They both arrived in heaven and St. Peter greeted them and said, "Mr. Smith, I see you have been a flight attendant for 30 years." St. Peter handed him a silk robe, golden rod and a crown of jewels. He then said to the Pastor, "Pastor Green". St. Peter flips thru his pages and finds Pastor Greens name written in small writing. He says, "I see you have been a pastor for 40 years." He hands him a cotton robe and a wooden rod. Pastor Green says, "How come the flight attendant got a silk robe, golden rod and a crown of jewels, and I only received this cotton robe and wooden rod?" St. Peter replied, "You have been putting people to sleep for over 40 years, and Mr. Smith has been getting people to pray to God for 30 years!"

A brunette, red head and blonde walked into a bar. The brunette ordered a beer. The red head ordered a rum and coke. The blonde walked in and said OUCH!!!

A brunette walks into a candy shop and says, "I would like 5 lbs of licorice." The candy man gets out his ladder and gets her candy and puts the ladder away. In walks the red head and asks, "Can I have five pounds of licorice?" The candy man gets out his ladder and gets her candy and is about to put the ladder away, when in walks the blonde. He asks her, "Would you like 5 lbs of licorice, too?" She says, "No!" So he climbs down and puts away the ladder. He then turns to the blonde and asks, "What may I get you?" She replies, "May I have 10 lbs of licorice?"

How do you tell that a blonde has been using the computer?
There is white out on the screen!

Why did the blonde get fired from the M&M factory?
She was throwing away all the W's!

Debbie's Birthday!

WOW! I had a great birthday and once again was spoiled by my family. But, I must share with you one of the most special gifts that I have ever seen or received. I received some marvelous things, ie: a beautiful plate that matches one Rob gave me last year and an awesome, way too expensive pair of shoes I showed my mom once and my parents gave me, along with many other nice things. But, I have never been so shocked and surprised by the gift my daughters gave me.

I knew that they had been saving their money, and doing extra jobs to earn money, but I figured they were saving for vacation or something special they had in mind. Well, they were both so excited about the gift they had gotten me for my birthday, and could hardly wait for us to get back from Palm Springs so that I could open it.
They did an awesome job of wrapping the gift to deceive me. First of all, there was a shoe box. I thought, "wow, they bought me a pair of my favorite flip flops", and then I opened the box and inside was a check box, and I was confused. Then I opened the check box and inside was a little jewelry box. I thought they had probably bought me a pair of earrings. So, I opened the box and inside was...
a beautiful silver ring, with little diamonds and my birthstone.
I could hardly believe my eyes! I was so shocked! It is beautiful! My girls are so proud of themselves because they surprised me and I had no idea what was going to be in that box. I have two of the best girls in the world.
Thanks Nicole and Amanda for making your mom's birthday so special! I love you both!
